Friends & Family

Not only a funny, funny movie but also heartwarming, sweet - well it was! - and a real treat.
The blurb is what got me enough that I had to buy it:

' Stephen and Danny are a hip Manhattan Gay couple who have it all, until a surprise visit from Stephen's parents threatens to blow the boys' big secret. The secret? Not that they're gay - but that they are hit men for the mafia! Since Stephen's dad is an FBI agent, the boys are frantic to keep him in the dark. They enlist their fellow mobsters to pose as gay waiters at the faux catering company Stephen "owns" so they can host a party for Dad - with hilarious complications!'

This will definitely be a movie that I watch time and again... and again and again; I'll definitely never tire watching it.
If you're a fan of romantic comedies with some very intriguing and laugh-out-loud twists I strongly urge you to try Friends & Family.  If you're anything like me, you'll love it!

I got my copy from TLA Video; love this place!

  1. I just got a catalog in the mail the other day from TLA. I'll have to check this movie out. ...yeah, I'm sure it raises the mailman's eyebrows when I get those obviously unmarked envelops containing obviously not-G-rated movie/stuff catalogs. lol. But I bet my mail is much more interesting to deliver than the elderly neighbors. *g*

  2. lol... I bet I do too! What's really funny is that I don't think anyone that doesn't know me online would ever think I'd be such a fan... ha! I've sure got them fooled.

I don't get a print catalogue, I get one in my email... and they are quite dangerous sometimes! But I've found some fabulous movies and some very interesting books. Just wish the postage wasn't such a killer. Ah well, I make it count when I do buy something(s). *grin*

  3. Oh, you're right - an email catalog would be very dangerous. A few clicks and what ever snags your eye could be winging its way to you. LOL.

  4. Oh yes... those clicks... I don't know how they happen, but it's like something takes control over my synapses and WHAM! I've got more stuff winging its way to my mailbox.

    Oh, but it's fun!
    ... and kinda addictive too!
