BTW, I've been fighting headaches

and the flu for the last couple of weeks... which is why I've not been around much.

I could do without all this... next step, bronchitis!

  1. Oh crap, that's not good. I hate headaches. I had a bad one the other day and it took me 3 advils every 4 hours to finally kick it.

That really sucks that you're sick though. Do you always get bronchitis?

You won't believe this but I haven't had a cold for like more than 10 years and I never get the flu. I don't know why, my immune system is all messed up. But I never catch a cold.

  2. I get bronchitis at least once a year; I just had a bout but I can't kick this dratted cold/flu/cough whatever it is...and my asthma keeps poking its head in to check on the action. And the headaches... and the water-sound in my ear which has been going on for months now. I just got over an outer ear infection and I don't want another one of those for a long, long while.

Wow... that's amazing! In some ways your immune system works fantastically...
The headaches? Yuck! Those anyone can do without, eh?

  3. hey girl,

Headaches are a major bummer. I get migraines and I keep my imitrex with me at all times. When it works, it's like a miracle.

Yahoo is kicking my ass. It won't let me get to my email for three days now. I suppose I will have to call someone, because I can't email them.

Our Madame is very lucky not to get colds or the flu. Because you babysit, you are a sitting duck for every cold and flu. As children build their immune system by getting them all, you are being exposed constantly.

Working an ED, I am constantly bombarded with every cold and virus running amok in the country. Such is life.

    Feel better soon.

    Rhianna
I sent out your book last week too.

It's probably the asthma. The last time I had bronchitis, which I used to get ever year, was when I smoked. After I quit, I haven't even had a chest cold. Having asthma is very trying and I think probably makes lung infections go on forever.

Well, no... I have lots of allergies and break out in hives all the time. So I really get your allergy issues.

  5. Thank you so much Rhianna! I'm eagerly awaiting it... gonna have to read it again ~ but this time I won't have to sit at the computer... Bonus!!

Geez I get migraines once-in-a-long-while and I hate, hate, hate 'em!
Can't imagine getting them regularly.. but really glad that you've got something that works "when it works"... not so good other times?
So far the only thing that really knocks my migraine out is a trip to the ER and a dose of DHE ... but as I said, rare.

Yeah colds... guess when I get really old I should be healthy as all get out... immune to all the cold viruses around... Ha!

I am constantly bombarded with every cold and virus running amok in the country.

That's harsh though... and the more I read about hospitals and all, they can be the worst places for sick people to be.

  6. Leah, my parents smoked all our lives and all but one of my siblings had allergies / asthma ~ that left five of us with. Bronchitis was my childhood nemesis, but one of my brothers ~ ouch. When he got the slightest hint of asthma he immediately ended up with pneumonia. Fun...not.
But all-in-all I count myself lucky... it all could be sooo much worse. And as bad as my asthma my two youngest sibs are much worse. Of course if my youngest brother wouldn't smoke I'm sure it would make a HUGE difference in his asthma.... Kids! (he's 10 years younger than I am... so, yeah... kid.) LOL

    And Hives? YUCK!
