LOL

Okay, I wasn't really paying attention to what I was saying... but that's pretty much par for the course with me. *blush*

And thank you! I'm finding it fun to write ~ 'cause this is about the extent of my writing ability.

My youngest daughter, OTOH, is very talented when it comes to writing stories. I know she's quite serious about it and anytime that she lets me read any of her work I'm awed and amazed... as is my oldest daughter.
Wouldn't be at all surprised to someday see her name in print... like on the front cover of a book!kathykhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534979555707488914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4313760303812328595.post-18556777704927654432008-11-12T06:05:00.000-07:002008-11-12T06:05:00.000-07:00Kathy, you crack me up. You use my "shoving it up ...Kathy, you crack me up. You use my "shoving it up the butt" comment to tell me how my reviews are "in depth" LOL

You must be reading others' reviews because I have serious rambling issues, which I always try to curb, but never quite can.*sigh*

You on the other hand, write just what I the reader need to know. And so far, I've really enjoyed your full and semi-full reviews. They are very concise and say how you felt about the book and why. Perfect!LVLM(Leah)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01344785501583933784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4313760303812328595.post-45169853362144097282008-11-11T17:31:00.000-07:002008-11-11T17:31:00.000-07:00Hey Leah! I was *trying* to do a more in-depth rev...Hey Leah!

I was *trying* to do a more in-depth review but, like the book reports that I used to have to write in school, it was becoming far too detailed. *sigh*
LOL... I wasn't even through the first two chapters and I had over half-a-page written down. There's that verbal diarrhea problem my dad used to laugh about!

...sometimes I don't like the sex. In one contemp, she had the two characters dancing around each other and it was built up nicely. I couldn't wait for them to get it on. But with nary a discussion about sexual likes and dislikes before hand, on their first time, not even in bed, but up against the wall, he shoves it up her butt. What?! LOL

See that's what I mean about your reviews. You go deeper and give a lot more substance to the review as well as adding an excellent overview of the story...
without rambling on all over the place.kathykhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07534979555707488914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4313760303812328595.post-3928835658376003662008-11-11T15:34:00.000-07:002008-11-11T15:34:00.000-07:00I love Shiloh Walkers "Hunter" series too. I'll ag...I love Shiloh Walkers "Hunter" series too. I'll agree with you that she really writes passionate characters with a strong honorable streak. And she really knows how to tell a story.

I see that her last few books have been paranormal but not of the vampire category. I like the concept of The Missing and her latest novella, Talking to the Dead was nicely reviewed by Smart Bitches even though they gave it a C-. I definitely want to read that one, The Missing and Through the Veil, even though both both the last two got mixed reviews.

My main problem with Shiloh's books are sometimes I don't like the sex. In one contemp, she had the two characters dancing around each other and it was built up nicely. I couldn't wait for them to get it on. But with nary a discussion about sexual likes and dislikes before hand, on their first time, not even in bed, but up against the wall, he shoves it up her butt. What?! LOL

I get butt sex, I really do. And since it was a contemp, it's more real to me than a paranormal. So I'm a bit more judgmental. If some guy I really don't know that well shoves it up my butt on the first time without too much preamble then, it's gonna push my buttons. I don't find that very romantic for the first time unless they've discussed their sexual preferences way before hand and know what to expect. So I do get turned off by that.

Otherwise, I totally love Shiloh's books. Love them!LVLM(Leah)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01344785501583933784noreply@blogger.com
